Senior Managers

1995 until 2011 when she began working as Penumbra’s Development Manager. Jane’s principle role has been to work on the development and validation of I.ROC and Penumbra’s HOPE Toolkit alongside other aspects of Penumbra’s internal and external development.
Jane is a Social Policy Graduate of Stirling University and is also a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
Simon joined Penumbra in November 1999 as a Project Worker for the Borders Youth Project in Galashiels, providing furnished tenancies and developing a particular focus on homelessness in the Scottish Borders. Simon also managed the Penumbra’s Borders Supported Living Service for two years and is now Area Manager for the East Area, incorporating the Edinburgh & Lothians, the Borders and Fife.
Simon started his working life a hide and skin broker – buying and selling cattle hides and sheep skins in the family business – and moved on to hotel management. Desiring a career change Simon went as a mature student to study at Queen Margaret College for a BSc in Psychology with Applied Sociology and Social Policy. He went on to work as a Nursing Assistant at the Royal Edinburgh hospital for three years and for a short period at Barony Housing association for a year before joining Penumbra.

Rosie has been at Penumbra since February 2013 when she joined as Head of Finance. She is responsible for ensuring that all financial controls and processes are in place and operating effectively, that relevant financial information is given to managers, directors and the board on a timely basis, and that Penumbra’s statutory reporting requirements are adhered to. Prior to joining Penumbra Rosie worked as an auditor at Baker Tilly, where she worked on a variety of charity and housing association client. Rosie is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.Outside work Rosie is also a trustee to a small, local charity.

Fiona started work in the child care sector in Ayrshire, moving to Glasgow when she qualified as SNNEB and working in the city’s education department for nursery schools. She moved to work in Yorkhill Hospital in the Department for Child and Family Psychiatry which was her first experience of working in the field of Mental Health, which led to training as an RMN. After she qualified Fiona worked in the acute wards of Gartnavel Royal Hospital for a couple of years before leaving the statutory sector to take up her first post in the voluntary sector.
Fiona joined Penumbra in January 2009 as Area Manager where the role includes managing the West Central area in all aspects of service delivery. Fiona participates in the Services & Development and senior managers group at a strategic level and is particularly interested in increasing Penumbra’s knowledge and profile within the West Central area.

Kenny has worked with Penumbra since November 1996. He started as a Support Worker and progressed to Support Manager of a Supported Accommodation project in September 2002. In early 2010 Kenny became involved preparing for several new services that were to come on board in the North. Kenny was appointed as Area Manager for the North in May 2011. He currently manages services in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus and Dundee. Kenny’s principle role is working with the staff team to provide a range of services across the area which promote positive mental health and wellbeing.
Kenny graduated from Aberdeen University in July 1994 with an Honours degree in Human Geography.

Anne Marie joined Penumbra in 1995 as a Support Worker in our first Supported Living Service in Edinburgh. In 2003 she went on to manage several Supported Accommodation and Supported Living Services and in 2006 became Services Manager for Edinburgh. Since 2009 she has been the Business Development Co-ordinator.
