Children’s Mental Health Week

Children’s Mental Health Week runs from the 4th to the 10th of February.

It was launched in 2015 by Place2Be as a way to raise awareness of children and young people’s mental health.

This year’s focus is on being Healthy: Inside and Out. Highlighting that physical and mental health are equally as important to a person’s overall wellbeing.

1 in 10 children suffer from mental health problems.

Last year we launched My Body My Way. Free resources aimed to help primary schools tackled negative body image in children.

These resources are available to download from the I.ROC Wellbeing website here.

We also have a weekly blog post from our fit150 team which looks at physical health and how it can support your mental health.

Our weekly articles are full of helpful tips and motivational stories to encourage people to be more active.

You can find out more about Children’s Mental Health Week here, or follow the hashtag on twitter.
