Scotland's Silent Deaths

The Edinburgh Crisis Centre will be featured in the above programme on BBC1 Scotland at 22.35 tonight (19th July). The BBC will also be providing the Crisis Centre helpline details via the Action Line at the end of the programme.

Here’s an extract from BBC Scotland’s programme details: “Fiona Walker meets relatives of people who have committed suicide, who believe their loved ones died because they were never offered the help they needed. She hears from an Aberdeen mother son whose killed himself while on a waiting list for a psychiatric appointment, and from the family of a Glasgow woman who took her own life, leaving behind two children. Her relatives are convinced she was let down by a system which was supposed to care for her. Fiona investigates the impact of such deaths and examines police evidence about the extent of the problem.”
