Who can have a short break
Nova Short Breaks is for any adult who has mental health problems, or their carers. We are a national service and accept referrals from anywhere in the UK. We accept self referrals, referrals from carers and from care managers and other professionals.
How to pay for a break
You can pay for this service using personal funds, or if you are eligible for care and support funding from your Local Authority, perhaps through self directed support, you may be able to use this. You should discuss this with your Care Manager.
What people have to say
“…all support turned up when expected – and were helpful to us, as well as respectful…”
“…easy, Nova took care of my budget…”
“…It was more personal so I really felt that I was able to get something out of the support, compared to Cairdeas, I much prefer having dedicating staff time but still in an informal, normal way…”
“…thank you so much for your efforts to help to get these much needed respites organised, and for your all over friendliness…”
