Treat yourself! Sweet & savoury healthy snacks

One of our latest posts explored different ways to stay motivated to achieve your fit150 goal(s). A good way to stay motivated is to treat yourself and what better way to reward yourself than by making some delicious treats? Here are some of our favourite healthy-treat-recipes. Most of these recipes require only a few different ingredients, are super easy to make and are affordable.

 

No-bake peanut butter oat coconut bites

This is one of the few recipes which requires a few more ingredients, but is still very easy to prepare. You need peanut butter, almond mild, maple syrup, vanilla flavouring, oats, shredded coconut, chopped peanuts and chocolate chips.

You start off by mixing the peanut butter, almond milk and maple syrup before adding the vanilla flavouring. Then add the oats, coconut shreds, chopped peanuts and chips. Vanilla blood orange breakfast cupcakes

These cupcakes also require a few more ingredients which you can find here. They make a good snack between meals or a healthy breakfast to start your day. They are easy to make and you can store them in an airtight container.

 

4 ingredient flour-less protein brownie bites

As promised, this is one of the recipes which requires only a few ingredients: bananas, almond butter, cocoa powered and protein powder. You can find a video on how to make these delicious treats here.

 

Healthy 3 ingredient no bake cookie dough protein bars

To make these cookie dough bars you only need dates, protein powder and chocolate chips. The recipe gives you detailed instructions. You combine the dates and protein powder in a blender, then add the chocolate chips and shape the mixture into bars. Refrigerate until set then enjoy as a nice treat after your next workout. Protein has also been linked to assist muscle growth and supports muscles to regenerate and heal after workouts which can reduce the amount of muscle aches.
