Job description

1st Response Moray is a new initiative, designed to provide a compassionate and effective intervention to adults in distress, who do not require an emergency service response.  Through working closely with frontline services, 1st Response Moray will deliver a connected and coordinated approach to supporting a person through feelings of distress.  This innovative service design will launch in November 2018.


The role of Recovery Practitioner (Peer) has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of mental health problems.  Through sharing learning from their own experience, peer workers will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible.  Within a relationship of mutuality and information sharing, Practitioners will promote self-management and opportunities for improved health and wellbeing.
