Young people in Fife picture ‘A Positive Frame of Mind’

On 8 June 2009, ‘see me’ – Scotland’s national campaign to end stigma and discrimination around mental ill-health - launched a national photography competition, A Positive Frame of Mind. Louise Erskine's winning entry 'Nature'

We were delighted to receive 29 entries for the competition, all of an extremely high quality, showing creativity and imagination as well as some excellent interpretations of the theme “Be there. Be yourself.”

Project manager Amber Higgins arranged for the competition entries to be displayed at the Lochgelly Centre as part of the annual Fife mental health exhibition.

Amy Cole 'Nature' After the exhibition ended, the winner of the public choice category was announced – congratulations to Louise Erskine for her winning entry ‘Nature’. Two more winners were chosen by a judging panel made up of youth workers and young people, with Amy Cole’s ‘Greek Waterfall’ winning the under 18 category and Tracey Bewick’s ‘Being Yourself Anywhere’ winning the over 18 category.

The 3 category winners each received £50 of vouchers courtesy of See Me Scotland, and will see their entries go forward to the national online competition. We wish the Fife winners the best of luck! Tracey Bewick ' Being Yourself Anywhere'
