What the service offers

Penumbra’s Supported Living Service offers personalised, recovery-focused and flexible support to eligible people throughout the Scottish Borders region. It provides practical, social and emotional help to people living in their own homes.

Everyone referred to the service will be supported to identify their own solutions and will be given advice and assistance from experienced staff in the fields of mental health and housing support.

As leaders in wellbeing assessment and development, Penumbra staff use I.ROC (the Individual Recovery Outcomes Counter) to help people improve their wellbeing. The service usually supports people in their own homes, alongside planning group and one-to-one activities.

Penumbra Borders SLS is a provider of Self Directed Support approved by Scottish Borders Council.

Where is the service located?

The Borders team are located in Galashiels and serve the North, South and East of the Borders with locally based staff.
