Our ARBD Assessment Service is located in the Possilpark area of Glasgow, we offer high quality support for people living with the impacts of alcohol related brain damage (ARBD). Support is funded initially for 12 weeks. Our team will support you to become empowered to make informed choices about your daily living, while the local authority’s ARBD team carry out various assessments of your needs.
We’ll support you to gain the skills you need to live independently and meaningfully so you can return to your home or an alternative suitable accomodation that meets your needs.
We’ll work together with you to discover your strengths, and will support you to set and achieve your goals one step at a time. Some of team members have lived experience of managing long term conditions and can bring their own insight to support you on your journey.
You might be asking yourself, why is a mental health charity supporting me? The answer is because our approach to support is focussed on the person, not the diagnosis. That means we focus on your recovery and what you want to get out of life. That approach has meant that we work across many areas including mental health, but also supporting people living with the impacts of substance use and alcohol related brain damage.
