Welcome to WELL Aberdeenshire. If you’re looking for ways to look after your mental health and wellbeing, our free short term support can help you feel well, empowered and linked locally.
Many of our team members are peer colleagues who have lived experience of living with mental ill health. This means we have some understanding of what you’re going through, and we can support you on your journey with understanding and compassion. So if your mental wellbeing is being impacted by whatever’s going on in your life, we can support you to find a way forward.
How support works
We can offer up to 3 support sessions to explore your current situation and plan for your own goals. Our friendly group workshops are a great place to share practical techniques and tips with others to manage your mental health. Our peer volunteer network will connect you with people locally who can share their own lived experience, and we’ll support you to join in with community activities and interests.
Where will support happen?
We want the support to work for you and that’s why it’s flexible. It can take place over the phone, through video call, or in and around your local community. Let us know what works best for you.
How to access support
It’s free and easy to access support. If you’re aged between 16-65 and live in south and central Aberdeenshire, you can access support by contacting us directly. This is called self-referral. Please email us using the address at the top of this page, Monday to Friday 9-5. Don’t forget you can visit our Facebook page to keep up with our activities around the community.
How is WELL funded?
Our service is funded by Aberdeenshire Council. Support is provided by Penumbra practitioners and workers.
